Challenge
Our partners over at QC Amplified were starting a new podcast in Charlotte. This podcast would be unique as they wanted it filmed in a small, glass-walled conference room, that was nestled inside a coffee shop. They called Podcast Titans because they know we offer mobile video podcast production with professional equipment. They wanted to work with the best podcast production company in Charlotte.
After doing a site visit prior to filming, we were able to assess it as a feasible work area. Meaning, we could make it work.

Solution
While this was the first podcast we’d filmed in a coffee shop, and in a room with glass walls, we approached it like the hundreds of other podcast we’d filmed. Good lighting, good camera angles and professional mics correctly positioned to capture the best sound possible.
As with most podcasts that we film, the room isn’t designed for filming. That’s why having quality podcast mics is important. Quality podcast mics do wonders in spaces that aren’t ideal for filming. They are able to amplify the speaker while reducing the background noise. You pair this with audio editing in post production, and you get professional video podcast production.
We added a little something extra to this one, though. We pulled out a tool we don’t often get to use. The camera slider. Having the camera slider gives us a dynamic shot for our main camera. This is simple, and smooth movement of the camera. It looked amazing.

Our task was not to just deliver a single video file and single video file. Our partners needed more than that. Because we know that distribution of the content is everything, we were able to deliver multiple YouTube assets, the full audio and various clips for social media.
